The first stage in this huge Project is the VIRTUAL EXPO website which is now nearing completion. The website will allow students, parents and teachers to access information on training, university, employment and apprenticeships. In later updates, we'll also being adding information about volunteering. Participants will be able to negotiate their way to various "rooms" in the Expo, where they will see and hear the answers to the most important questions to help them make choices for their future. The website makes extensive use of animation and short video clips to keep participants engaged.
The website will include additional information for students with a disability and indigenous students, outlining some of the additional resources and assistance available to help them with transition from school.
The 2nd phase of this Project will be to provide teachers and parents with downlaodable resources to guide them on how to use the site, either as a preparation tool before students attend a career expo, as a revision tool after an expo or as a complete tool for students who are unable to attend a career expo.
The VIRTUAL EXPO will also be available as part of a FREE mobile app, available for iPhone and Android devices.
