Universities support your learning by arranging things like interpreters, note takers, tutors, equipment, mentors and workshops to help you get some great study habits in place, talking with teachers about your disability or medial condition and implementing a variety of ways to do your assessments.
When to connect with Disability Support Unit?
When you make a decision on where you want to study, it is a good idea to make contact with the Disability Unit early so they can organise what is needed so when you start at university this is one less thing you need to worry about. You can then enjoy Orientation Week and get straight into your program with everything in place.
You know what you used at school or would have liked, so go and ask the question and see where your conversation leads.
