What organisations can help you secure employment?
Disability Employment Services (DES) help people with a disability, illness or injury to find and keep a job and can coordinate any available Australian Government incentives to employers.
Job Services Australia (JSA) help job seekers with support to help them find a job. This Program will be changed in July – information will be updated.
Remote Jobs and Communities Program (RJCP) is a combination of Job Services Australia and Disability Employment Services and it is available in remote locations in Queensland.
You will be only able choose one, so look at them all and see what is best for you. Centrelink can also link you to a qualified person who can do an employment assessment on what you are capable of doing right now. This may help you with your decision on which way you should go for additional support to get a job.
What are Wage Subsidies?
These are payments made to employers to help cover the costs of wages and training in the first few months of employment. These amounts change often and your employment provider is able to give you the correct amount or visit the JobAccess website. www.jobaccess.gov.au
